The simplification of the Lions Gate name into the single word "Lionsgate" represents the ongoing unification of the Company's diversified motion picture, television, home entertainment, family entertainment, documentary film, music publishing and video-on-demand businesses into a single, highly recognizable brand. The Company's official legal name of Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. remains unchanged.

"The Lionsgate brand has become recognized throughout the financial and creative communities for distinctive, original product, such as the film CRASH, the Tyler Perry films, the SAW horror franchise and the television series WEEDS," said Lionsgate Chief Executive Officer Jon Feltheimer. "Our new name and logo are designed to build upon this brand awareness and to create a bold and exciting new look for an integrated, unified company that is greater than the sum of its parts. After six years of growth, it is time to change our look to reflect what we have already created and, even more importantly, where we are headed."

The Company has also acquired the lionsgate.com domain name and noted that its strength in generating branded content will continue to add significant value to its core assets with the emergence of new digital distribution platforms.

The new Lionsgate logo was designed by an in-house team headed by Tim Palen, EVP of Marketing. Lionsgate worked with Ogilvy & Mather's BIG on the creative execution of the word mark and with Deva Studios on the animated logo.

Lionsgate is the premier independent producer and distributor of motion pictures, television programming, home entertainment, family entertainment and video-on-demand content. Its prestigious and prolific library is a valuable source of stable, recurring revenue and is a foundation for the growth of the Company's core businesses. The Lionsgate brand name is synonymous with original, daring, quality entertainment in markets around the globe. www.lgf.com
